Commodore Property Group

Rich Bouchner has been involved with real estate since 2002 when he left Wall Street and joined his family’s mortgage business in Connecticut. In 2003, Rich co-founded Commodore Mortgage Group and in 2008 he founded Commodore Property Group as a boutique New York City based real estate brokerage firm. 

Rich attended Northfield Mount Hermon boarding school, and received a BA in History from Tulane University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Vanderbilt University.  Prior to obtaining his MBA he worked for Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor, and post MBA, he has worked for Brown Brothers Harriman as an associate in the Institutional Asset Management Group and Sanford C. Bernstein as a Vice President, Director of Consultant Relations.

Rich has been a New Yorker since 1997, an owner of real estate since 1998 and a real estate investor since 2003.  He has lived downtown, on the Upper West Side and currently resides in a townhouse in Harlem with his wife Rite.

Rich’s goal is to bring discipline and professionalism to the tasks of buying, selling and marketing real estate. By combining sales skills, marketing savvy and an analytical toolset, Rich seeks to understand his clients’ needs, minimize their stress, and maximize their returns.

Gene Choi strives to provide the best service possible in a timely and professional manner. Ethical practices are highly important to Gene who relishes getting his clients their dream home within their price range. His dedication to the profession and clients truly sets him apart from the majority of the real estate community.

Gene has extensive experience in real estate as an owner of a Commodore Mortgage Group since 2003.  Gene is also very familiar with the West Village as an owner of his co-op unit in The Cezanne on Jane Street since 2002.

Gene has worked in the restaurant business in San Francisco as a chef as well as the airline industry for Continental Airlines in their finance group.  He has avid interests in golf, squash and cycling.  Gene is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall, Tufts University (BA) and Vanderbilt University (MBA).

Ariyike is an attorney with law degrees from Oxford University and the University of Pennsylvania.  In 2005 she obtained her real estate broker’s license and joined Sotheby’s International Realty as an associate broker where she represented both buyers and sellers in townhouse and condo transactions in Manhattan.
